My Fair Lady Blog Hop March 17th

Hello and welcome to the My Fair Lady Blog Hop hosted by Gill.  You should have just come from Anita's blog.  If you are just joining us and want to start from the beginning, please hop on over to Gill's blog.  This hop is all about ladies!

Since the title of this blog hop is "My Fair Lady", I decided to go with a digi of a famous character from a famous movie:  Eliza Doolittle from "My Fair Lady".  This digi is available from Sassy Studio Designs.  I colored her with Copics.  I had to use my multiliner for the really tiny sections.  I used some black and white paper from Echo Park, added ribbon and, of course, some bling!  Unfortunately, the bling doesn't show up as much as I'd like against the black and white patterned paper.  So, below is another angle to give you a better view.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I'm the last stop on the hop.  Hope you enjoyed seeing all of the projects. ALOHA!

All About 3D Blog Hop Mar. 17-18

Welcome to the All About 3D Blog Hop hosted by Monica.  You should have just come from Jearise's blog.  If you are just joining us and want to start from the beginning, please start at scraps2treasure (Monica's blog).  This blog hop is about anything 3D.

For my project, I made a cute little favor/treat box from svgcuts.com.  I LOVE this little favor box because it comes in a few different styles and can be cut from one sheet of paper!  Since it's St. Patrick's Day, I used St. Patty's Day themed patterned paper by Best Creations.  The accent pieces on the flap were cut out of the same sheet of paper.  I just flipped it over to use the pattern on the reverse side.  I added a little bling and then tied with a bow.  Easy Peasy!  Below is just another angle of the treat box.  You can keep it simple or go all out with decorating the top!  You can whip up a bunch of these as party favors.  Just fill with some candy and tie a bow like I did.  So versatile! =)

Your next stop is Jessica's blog.  Below is the full blog hop lineup in case you get lost along the way!  Thanks for stopping by !

Tickled Pink Challenge Zombie Card -- With Bling!

Happy Friday, Bloggers!  This week's Freaky Friday Challenge over at Forever Night Challenges is sponsored by Tickled Pink Stamps!  The challenge is to add some bling to your creation.

Everyone seems to be obsessed with a show called "The Walking Dead" lately. My boyfriend loves it.  I have yet to watch it, though.  I guess I'll have to check it out on Netflix sometime!

Well, I decided to jump on the zombie bandwagon (LOL) and make a zombie-themed card.  I chose to work with Zombie Kellita.  Now, I don't know what's up with my camera lately, but it seems like my cards end up looking a little distorted for some reason.  I promise that my card has straight edges and isn't crooked!

I colored the image with Copics and then did a computer-generated sentiment.  I kind of have a "thing" for fonts.  I like for them to match the feel or theme of the card in as much as possible.  Unfortunately, I sometimes spend wayyyyyy too much time going through fonts to figure out which one I want to use!  Well, I found a free font called Zombified.  I don't know that this font really screams "Zombie" to me, but I felt it was good enough.  And, hey -- it was free!  =)

The bling I used for my project was already in these black roses I picked up from the craft store.  I actually bought them for another card I made previously, but I didn't really like them on that card as much as I thought I would.  So, I had them sitting on the side and thought they were perfect for this card!

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a great Friday!  I'm in two blog hops this weekend, so I will see you soon!  ALOHA!

Surprise Birthday Hop for Kris at Lollipop Crafts!

It's Krista Palakiko's birthday today and a few of us are throwing her a surprise birthday blog hop. If you just popped in you might want to hop on over to the beginning at the Lollipop Crafts blog. Why? Well one lucky hopper will win a SURPRISE PRIZE! All you need to do is hop along to each friend’s blog, leave some love, then head back to the Lollipop Crafts blog and let them know you completed the hop. Who knows, maybe along the way some of Kris' friends might be giving away RAKS of their own, so make sure you stop and give some love to everyone. The winner will be announced on Sunday, March 18th.

**If you get lost along the way the MASTER LIST is on the Lollipop Crafts Blog.

We have a lot going on at home this week, so I decided to go with a CAS type card.  I used this super cute digi from eyeCandie Creations.  Love that strawberry and that cute girl with her poufy hair! LOL  I added ribbon from my stash and computer-generated the sentiment.  Love using my computer for that!  I can choose the font I want, the size, and the exact saying !  I'm probably going to add a little charm to the ribbon.  Just need to look through my stash.  I also have some goodies for Kris, but I don't want to ruin the surprise.  You'll just have to wait for your happy mail, Kris!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!  =)

St. Patty's Day Card and Blog Candy Update!

Hello, Blogger Friends! I finally got the last of the blog candy emails out just a little bit ago.  Whewww!!!  So glad that's done with.  As a reminder, winners must respond within 72 hours of the email, or their prize will be awarded to an alternate winner.  Once all the prizes have been settled, I will post a list of all the winners.

The blog hop was very popular, and I got such wonderful responses from the sponsors, the participants, and the readers.  So, it looks like I am going to make this an annual thing!  YAYYY!!!  But, not to worry.  I will be giving out blog candy throughout the year, too!  I really appreciate all of my followers, so I would like to give out blog candy from time to time just as a way of saying thanks!  So, be on the lookout!

Today, I'm sharing a St. Patty's Day card made as a design team project for Friendship's Garden Challenge Blog.  Sadly, Becky has decided to shut down the blog.  Well, it's actually more of a good thing because she has just been blessed with so many wonderful opportunities in recent months that she had to let some things go. There is a LOT of time and work that goes into running a challenge blog, so Becky made the difficult decision to "lock up" Friendship's Garden.  I wish her the best and know she will do well in all that she does!

As for me, the timing is perfect since my term was supposed to be up at the end of this month anyway.  I was asked to join another challenge blog DT and will be starting my new gig in April.  I will have more info on that soon.  I am still with the Forever Night DT through July.

Okay, back to the card... LOL.  This was a quick card with a computer-generated sentiment.  I chose a font that I thought would fit well.  If you really want to know which font it is, I can look it up.  I believe it was one that was already in my word processing program.  The four-leaf clover was cut with my Cameo.  I decided to add a little bling to it.

Well, hope you all have a nice, relaxing Sunday!  I'm planning to do some spring cleaning and find some time to just relax and do some crafting.  Thanks for stopping by !

Me Miss Friend ! and blog candy update!

Hello, friends !  I'm still working on sending out emails to the winners in my blog candy extravaganza blog hop last weekend.   I've already notified a few and got responses back from them.  There are still a bunch of emails to go out and, as promised, everyone will be notified no later than this Sunday.  So, sit tight.  You may be getting an email from me in the next few days!

Today's project is a card featuring a digi from an awesome new company called eyeCandie Creations.  They were so kind to participate in my blog hop as one of my sponsors.  They've been so wonderful to work with!  If you're not familiar with them, please check out their shop.

They just released a bunch of new images to add to their kawaii-style line, and I must say, that they are too cute! Oh, and I'm not just saying that.  I put my money where my mouth is! In fact, I purchased SEVEN digi's the other night!  LOL!

Today's project is  one of those cards that turned out so differently from what I initially envisioned.  But, it's okay because I do like how it turned out!  =)  This card features Cookie Monster Ryan.  I have a toddler, so anything to do with Sesame Street tends to catch my eye.  He was colored with Copics.  I knew I wanted to go with a sort of "milk and cookies" theme. So, I printed some digi paper with milk cartons on it.  If you'd like the source, I can look it up.  Unfortunately, I don't have it handy at the moment.

For the sentiment, I wanted to go with something Cookie Monster-esque.  LOL  I also wanted to go with a friendship theme, so I settled on "Me Miss Friend!".  I used Stampin' Up! punches for the sentiment -- which I was excited about because I have been wanting to buy these punches for a LONG time!  I finally got the set thanks to my friend, Cely.

I have a few half-done projects to finish up, so I will be posting more in the next week!  Thanks for stopping by!  ALOHA! =)

Steampunk Betty and Update on Blog Candy Winners!

Hello, Friends!  First of all : WOWWWWEEEEE!!!!  What a fantastic turnout last weekend!  If you missed it, this past weekend was what I hope to be the first annual "Our Favorite Things Blog Candy Extravaganza" blog hop!  There were so many positive responses from both viewers and sponsors. I'm really glad that I was able to introduce many of you to some new companies and to also provide some exposure to some of my favorite sites.

I did indicate in my hop post that winners would be notified no later than the 11th of March.  I have begun emailing some of the winners already.  With so many prizes and sponsors involved, it does take a lot of coordinating.  My Mom duties do have to come first, but I should be able to get through the list by the specified date. As a reminder, if your name is chosen, you have 72 hours to respond or an alternate winner will be selected.

As for today's project, it's a card I created for Forever Night Challenges.  The image is from the steampunk collection by Simply B Stamps.  The challenge was :  STEAMPUNK.

I colored the image with Copics (of course!).  I really need to expand my collection, though.  I think I'm going to have to treat myself to some in the near future.  LOL!

Anywho, the gears were cut with a file from the Silhouette Studio and cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  The two large pieces started out as one.  I cut it in half so I could place the pieces in such a way that they'd be more visible.  I was a little concerned as to how I would pull off the steampunk look as it's not really a genre I've worked with before.  In the end, I was happy with how it turned out.

Well, I always think there's room for improvement with my projects, but I think it's because I tend to be too much of a perfectionist at times.  *sigh*  I'm trying hard to relax a little more.  LOL

Well, thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a great Wednesday!

Our Favorite Things Blog Candy Extravaganza!!! (March 3-4)

Welcome to the Our Favorite Things Blog Candy Extravaganza !!!  This is going to be an amazing event!  Many of you are familiar with Oprah Winfrey's famous "Favorite Things" show where audience members walk away with an array of various surprises.  It was always so fun to see how excited the audience members got with each giveaway.  Well, if you've always wished you could sit in the audience of one of those show tapings, we have the next best thing for you!

Each participant in the hop is going to share a favorite of theirs.  It could be a craft-related item or a non-craft related item.  In addition to that, each blogger is giving away blog candy!  There are thirteen stops in the hop with a few blogs giving away more than one prize!  That's a LOT of blog candy!

Without further ado, I'd like to share some of my favorite things with you.  Please be warned.  This is going to be a long post but that is because I have LOTS and LOTS of blog candy to give away -- FIFTEEN prizes to be exact !  The rules for winning are at the bottom of this post.  Now, on to the fun!

BLOG CANDY # 1-4

First up is the project I created for this hop.  It showcases several of my favorite things.   I love making favor or treat boxes.  They are one of my most favorite projects to make. I also love working with polka-dots, bright colors, ribbon, and stamps.

For this Easter treat bag, I used an adorable Easter Bunny Stamp by a new company called
Kitty Bee Designs (FB page).  She has clear stamps available and is releasing digi's in the VERY near future!

I colored the image with Copics and added some Stickles before fussy cutting.  I adhered to the favor box with pop dots, just because I like dimension.  I have to confess that I was worried that I wouldn't have enough candy to fill this box because I had the package of candy for over a week and ate a few every day.  LOL!

If you like this image and want to see more from Kitty Bee designs, you can find her shop on Etsy.  If you're lucky, you could win one of several prize packages generously donated by Ruth of Kitty Bee Designs.

Prize One is an Easter set consisting of three stamps: One stamp will be the image you see in my project above.  You will also receive Easter is Here Bunny and Easter Egg Bunny.

Prize packages 2 and 3 both consist of 3 clear stamps of the winners' choice.  The winners can choose from the puppies, kitties, penguins, or bunnies.

Prize 4 is 3 DIGI stamps from Kitty Bee Design's newest release.  Here is a sneak peek of just a few of the fun, fun, fun digi's in the newest sets:

*Please note that readers outside the U.S. are eligible to win the digi stamps only.

BLOG CANDY # 5

I am very lucky to have a fiance' who supports my crafting habit!  The Easter treat bag above was cut with a Christmas gift from my fiance' -- something that is one of my most favorite crafting items ever.  It's a Silhouette Cameo!  No, I'm not giving away a Cameo (DARN!), but I do have a $25 gift card donated by Oh My Crafts! for one lucky winner.

OMC seems to be the most popular place to purchase a Silhouette Cameo.  They had the best price when I was looking during the holidays.  If you're in the market for a Cameo, you could possibly use the gift card towards your purchase, or use it towards some other craft goodies!

BLOG CANDY # 6

Being that I'm part-Asian, I have a a special fondness for Asian Stamps.  Sister Stamps, LLC is definitely at the top of my go-to list for adorable Asian images.  Here is a project I created in January for Chinese New Year using Mei Li.  I love her because she reminds me of my youngest daughter.

(HERE IS A CLOSE-UP)

Sister Stamps is donating two stamps to one lucky winner!  If you are picked, you will receive two rubber stamps:  Miyako and Keitaro from Release 5 !  Miyako is too cute with her origami heart, and Keitaro is adorable with his origami hat!  Yoshimi is not included in this prize (SORRY!).  This prize is open to US residents only.

BLOG CANDY #7

If you are a follower of mine, you know that I participate in a lot of blog hops.  What I love about blog hops is that I sometimes come across companies and products that are new to me.  One stamp company I was introduced to during a hop is A Jillian Vance Design.

I love the variety of sentiment stamps.  I think my all-time favorite is probably this Christmas sentiment stamp set.  There are some other items available in the store, but the stamps are definitely my favorite.  One lucky reader will win this set :

(Sorry, US readers only).

BLOG CANDY #8

Another way I've come across new products/companies is by doing design team work.  My first project for Forever Night Challenges introduced me to Dilly Beans Stamps.

I love how unique Megan's images are, especially the ones with those large eyes!  They are fun, whimsical, and a little (tiny-bit) creepy at the same time.  LOL!  I love them!  Megan of Dilly Beans Digi Stamps is donating two digi's to one lucky winner!

BLOG CANDY #9

Another digi stamp company I fell in love with through design team work is The Saturated Canary.

I love Krista's digi's (Etsy) because they are just so girly with that sense of innocence.  I especially love coloring the hair on her digi's.  Maybe it's because I have really long hair myself -- down to my waist.  One lucky reader will win two digi's from The Saturated Canary.

BLOG CANDY #10 & #11

You're probably thinking that I mainly work with stamps.  Not true.  One of my greatest loves is 3-D paper crafting.  I LOVE using SVG's to create different objects.  These are two of my favorite projects using SVG's from SVGCUTS.com.

Leo and Mary are always so ready and willing to help their customers.  They are just the sweetest, and they are always releasing amazing sets!  They are donating two prizes for this hop:  one winner per prize (international okay).

* $10 gift card to SVGCUTS.COM to one winner
* a stamp set of the winner's choice from PunkinPatchStamps.com

BLOG CANDY # 12

Another favorite project of mine are Artist Trading Cards.  Here is one of my all-time faves using a digi from Bugaboo Stamps.

One lucky person will win SEVEN images from Bugaboo Stamps!

BLOG CANDY #13

When I'm looking for some cute character SVG sets, I like to turn to Designs on Cloud 9.  Michelle always has the most adorable themed sets that are great for scrapbook layouts, cards, banners, and other paper crafting projects.  Here is a card I made using her Bee Mine set.

Michelle is giving away a $20 gift card to her shop!

BLOG CANDY #14

Are you still with me?  -LOL- Sorry!  Told you there was a LOT of blog candy being given away here!  =)  Just two more left, so stay with me!

Now, I love, love, loovvveeee ribbon!  My newest obsession is something similar:  Crinkle Ribbon!  Julie over at 3 Girl Jam has some awesome sets!  I think the Valentine's Day package is probably my fave, but I'm also liking the Irish Flag package she has available, too!  Julie is kind enough to donate 3 bundles of ribbon to one winner (US or Canada only).  Please be sure to check out her site for some pretty crinkle ribbon.

BLOG CANDY #15

Last, but not least, is another newer digi company called eyeCandie Creations.  I immediately fell in love with this company's digi's because of their kawaii style. I do have a card I'm working on and will post it later weekend.   Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish it on time, but if you want to see which digi I have, you can see it on this project created by Amy from A Thousand Sheets of Paper.  I love that Cookie Monster image!

They just released a new set of digi's, so please check them out.  They are really so sweet to work with and quick to respond if you have questions.  One lucky winner will receive two digi's from eyeCandie Creations.

Well, friends, I know this was a long post, but I sure do hope you enjoyed reading about some of my favorites!  Unfortunately, there is just a little more reading to do.  Please read the rules below if you would like to be eligible to win one of these fabulous prizes.
